SW DeKalb HS Girls Track Recognition

               RECOGNITION
                   HONORING SOUTHWEST DEKALB HIGH SCHOOL
                              GIRLS’ TRACK TEAM


WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and
             athletically. The Southwest DeKalb High School Panthers girls’ track team is committed to
             working hard and representing DeKalb athletics; and

WHEREAS:     The Southwest DeKalb girls’ track team won the Region 5-4A girls’ track and field title; and

WHEREAS:     Coach Montavious Coleman’s track squad rolled past Marist 193-142 for the region title while
             claiming nine gold medals; and

WHEREAS:     The Panthers went on to finish fifth in the Class 4A State Track and Field Championships; and

THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic
             accomplishments of the Southwest DeKalb High School Panthers girls’ track team for
             having achieved one of the highest levels attainable by a high school track team. In official
             recognition, we affix our signatures on this 14th day of July 2025.
