Foundations

Mission: Create cost effective partnerships to foster well-
rounded students and enhance teaching excellence

Vision: Every student graduating with a meaningful diploma and
a resilient plan for success

Areas of Focus:
• Literacy, Mental Health and Wellness, and Teaching Excellence

Structure:
• 10 Community Board Members; Meet monthly, two
   committees
• DCSD: 1 Coordinator, Superintendent, and CEIP Staff
2024-25 Work
• Operations:
   • Set up a bank account and P.O. box
   • Utilizing Give Lively for online donations/sponsorships
   • Expanded the Board (8 to 10)

• Established a Fundraising Goal: $195,000

• Event and Outreach: Held a Fall Presentation Day
   • 5 businesses/organizations attended

• Donation from Commissioner Michelle Long Spears
   • $50,000 for Science Field Trips

• Event and Fundraiser: State of the District
   • Sponsorships: 24 sponsors for $68,750
2024-25 Work
• Fundraiser: Pathway to Excellence @ Fernbank Science
  Center
   • $6,350 raised - $10,000 goal

• Partnership and Donation: InspireConsumer
   • Ongoing, FREE healthy snacks for all elementary
     students

• NEW! $30,000 School/Center Grants
   • 20 $1,500 grants

• Fundraising: DCSD Employee Giving

• Fall 2025 Event: Installation of Pathway to Excellence and
  Presentation of Grants
