               Honoring Dunwoody High School Cross Country Teams

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is committed to fostering academic and athletic
             development in students; and

WHEREAS:     The Dunwoody High School Cross Country Teams have consistently demonstrated hard work,
             dedication, and pride in representing DeKalb County School District athletics; and

WHEREAS:     We celebrate the Dunwoody High School Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country Teams, led by Coach
             Jonathan Criszt, for sweeping the DeKalb County Cross Country Championships for the first
             time in the school’s history; and

WHEREAS:     The boys’ team placed five runners in the Top 15 to win their first county title since 1991, led
             by junior Alex Loffredio. The Lady Wildcats had five runners finish in the Top 10, with freshman
             Sarah Jane Shipley finishing second with a time of 21:10.80; and

THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, hereby recognize and honor the Dunwoody High
             School Cross Country Teams for their outstanding athletic achievements, reaching one of the
             highest levels of success attainable in high school cross country. In official recognition, we affix
             our signatures on this 13th day of January 2025.
