               RECOGNITION
                   Honoring Stephenson High School Football Team

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is committed to fostering the academic and athletic
             development in students; and

WHEREAS:     The Stephenson High School Football Team has consistently demonstrated hard work,
             dedication, and pride in representing DeKalb County School District athletics; and

WHEREAS:     We celebrate the Stephenson High School Jaguar Football Team, led by Coach Marcus Jelks,
             for winning the Region 5-3A football championship; and

WHEREAS:     Coach Marcus Jelks, a Stephenson High alumnus, led the Jaguars to back-to- back region
             titles, a 7-3 record, and a home playoff game; and

WHEREAS:     The Jaguars also claimed the title of DeKalb County Champions, tying for the best record and
             the Region 5-3A title; and

THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, hereby recognize and honor the Stephenson High
             School Football Team for their outstanding athletic achievement in reaching one of the highest
             levels of success attainable by a high school football program. In official recognition, we affix
             our signatures on this 13th day of January 2025.
