               RECOGNITION
                    Honoring Miller Grove High School Softball Team

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is committed to fostering academic and athletic
             development in students; and

WHEREAS:     The Miller Grove High School Softball Team has consistently demonstrated hard work,
             dedication, and pride in representing DeKalb County School District athletics; and

WHEREAS:     We celebrate the Miller Grove High School Lady Wolverines Softball Team, led by Coach
             Shavonda Wright, for winning the Region 6-2A softball title with a perfect 10-0 region play; and

WHEREAS:     The Lady Wolverines swept their first two best-of-three Class 2A playoff series to advance to
             the Elite Eight for the first time in program history; and

THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, hereby recognize and honor the Miller Grove High
             School Softball Team for their outstanding athletic achievements, reaching one of the highest
             levels of success attainable in high school softball. In official recognition, we affix our signatures
             on this 13th day of January 2025.
