                Honoring Chamblee High School Cross Country Team

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is committed to fostering academic and athletic
             development in students; and

WHEREAS:     The Chamblee High School Lady Bulldogs Cross Country Team has consistently demonstrated
             hard work, dedication, and pride in representing DeKalb County School District athletics; and

WHEREAS:     We celebrate the Chamblee High School Lady Bulldogs Cross County Team, led by Coach
             Hakim Felts, for their 10th-place finish at the Class 5A State Cross Country Meet and their
             second place at both the Class 5A State Sectional and the DeKalb County Championships; and

WHEREAS:     The team’s strong state performance was highlighted by senior Talley Pendleton, who placed
             sixth overall with a time of 20:09.07 and claimed the DeKalb County Girl’s Individual Title; and


THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, hereby recognize and honor the Chamblee
             High School Lady Bulldogs Cross Country Team for their outstanding athletic achievements,
             reaching one of the highest levels of success attainable by a high school cross country
             program. In official recognition, we affix our signatures this 13th day of January 2025.
