                                        July 11, 2024

The DeKalb County Board of Education held its virtual Board B-Policy Review Committee
Meeting Thursday, July 11, 2024.

Mrs. Vickie B. Turner, Committee Chair convened the virtual meeting at 10:32 a.m. and noted
the following were in attendance; Ms. Whitney McGinniss, Ms. Allyson Gevertz, Mrs. Marissa
Key, Ms. Carolyn Lloyd, Ms. Noga Baruch, Ms. Melanie Slaton and Superintendent Dr. Devon
Q. Horton. Board Vice Chair, Mrs. Deirdre P. Pierce also attended the virtual meeting.

DISCUSSION ITEMS
Mrs. Vicki B. Turner, Committee Chair, presented the review follow-up /action items from the
previous board b-policy committee meeting.

The committee reviewed the recommendations and updates for Board Policy BBBE: Board
Member Compensation and Expenses. BBC: Board Committees, BBE: School Board Attorney
and BBF: Advisory Committees.

Committee Chair, Mrs. Vickie B. Turner presented an introductory discussion of next policies
scheduled for review, BBFA: Local School Councils, BBI: Board Staff Relations, BC: Board
Meetings

ANY OTHER BUSINESS | COMMENTS
Mrs. Turner provided the date of the next Board B-Policy Review committee meeting that will
be held in person on Thursday, July 25, 2024 @ 10:30 a.m.

Mrs. Turner adjourned the July 11, 2024, Board B-Policy Review Committee meeting at 12:23
p.m.
