                      DEKALB COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

The DeKalb County Board of Education held its Board B-Policy Review Committee Meeting
Thursday, May 2, 2024.

Mrs. Vickie B. Turner, Committee Chair convened the meeting at 2:30 p.m. and noted the
following were in attendance; Ms. Allyson Gevertz, Ms. Whitney McGinniss. Mrs. Marissa Key,
Ms. Carolyn Lloyd, Mr. Aaron Webb, and Superintendent Dr. Devon Q. Horton.

DISCUSSION ITEMS
Mr. Aaron Webb, Attorney at Law, Hall Booth Smith, P.C. presented the Review of the
Committee Charter.

Committee Chair, Mrs. Vickie B. Turner and Mr. Aaron Webb, Attorney at Law, presented an
overview of the existing policies.

Committee Chair, Mrs. Vickie B. Turner presented the selection of initial policies for review.

Mr. Aaron Webb, Attorney at Law, Hall Booth Smith, P.C. presented the establishment of the
review process.

Committee Chair, Mrs. Vickie B. Turner presented the timeline and milestones.

Committee Chair, Mrs. Vickie B. Turner presented the communication plan.


ANY OTHER BUSINESS | COMMENTS
Mrs. Turner provided the date of the next Board B-Policy Review committee meeting that will
be held on May 23, 2024 @ 10:00 – 11:30 am.

ADJOURN
Mrs. Turner requested that the DeKalb County Board of Education adjourn the May 2, 2024,
Board B-Policy Review Committee meeting.

Mrs. Turner noted there were no objections, the called meeting adjourned at 3.49 p.m.
