i. Approval to Utilize the Sourcewell Contract for Stertil-Koni USA Inc. To Acquire Eight (8) Surface Mount Drive-On Lifts (Not to exceed $2,500,000)

Request: It is requested that the Board of Education approve the purchase and installation of eight (8) surface mounted drive-on vehicle lifts, from Stertil-Koni Inc., utilizing the Sourcewell Contract No. RFP 013020 for an amount not to exceed $2,500,000.
Why: This request is to purchase and install eight (8) surface-mount drive-on vehicle lifts. Under this contract, the vendor will furnish equipment, labor, and materials needed to perform the work.
Details: This contract will allow the Fleet Department to replace eight (8) older lifts, ensuring technicians have safe, efficient, and serviceable equipment to maintain, service, and repair district school buses.
Financial impact: The total budget for these services is allocated from the cost code (100.2600.543013.00011.7520.9990.8013.040.0000) under the Operations’ Division General Fund Budget in the amount not to exceed $2,500,000.

-Owner to provide staging areas required for the work to be performed,-including
equipment, materials, hauling & disposal containers, and adjacent bays each side
as maybe necessary while the work is being performed
-Price does not include any water removal, or well pointing
-All work performed will meet or exceed local building codes
-Utility services, re: electric & water required for work by owner
-Price assumes existing slab thickness to be no more than 8-10 inches thick
-Owner is responsible for any below slab locating of underground facilities and the
cost of relocating any underground facilities if found to be in conflict with the work
-Owner is responsible to have lift pits cleaned and degreased, including the
evacuation of all fluids in reservoirs and hydraulic lines, before work can begin
-All labor and materials for the above stated work is included in price unless
otherwise noted
-Price above as stated does not include any contaminated soil or concrete,
remediation, removal, disposal, inadequate substrate or unforeseen obstacles
-Any hidden or discovered work beyond what is described above or found during
the performance of above stated work will be priced separately via change order
-Price does not include any concrete coatings, sealants, or paint other than listed
in scope
