Request: It is requested that the Board of Education eliminate the board policy CGB, Administrative Personnel Positions, due to the fact that it is duplicative or outdated.
Why: The Board of Education is empowered to abolish duplicative or outdated policies. The elimination of said policies will increase the efficiency of the organization. Board Policy CGB - Administrative Personnel Positions is covered by Board Policy CGD - Administrative Personnel Hiring.
Financial impact: There is no financial impact to the District.

PERSONNEL
The Superintendent shall have the authority to employ personnel in accordance with the policies of the Board and
shall assign personnel to positions authorized by the Board.
The Board of Education employs personnel only on the recommendation of the superintendent.
The Board of Education members, collectively and individually, shall remain neutral and not become involved in the
review of applications for vacant positions and in the screening process, except in the recruitment and selection of
the superintendent. The Board of Education shall refrain from applying pressure on the superintendent to employ
persons on the basis of any criteria other than professional or occupational qualifications.
