Virtual Called Meeting December 27 2022

                 VIRTUAL CALLED MEETING and EXECUTIVE SESSION
                                   OF THE
                     DEKALB COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

                                       December 27, 2022

The DeKalb County Board of Education held a virtual called meeting on Monday,
December 27, 2022.

Mrs. Vickie B. Turner, Board Chair, called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm and noted the
following were in attendance, Mrs. Vickie B. Turner, Board Chair, Mr. Diijon DaCosta, Sr.,
Vice Chair, Mrs. Deirdre Pierce, , Mrs. Anna Hill, Dr. Joyce Morley, Mr. Marshall D. Orson
and Dr. Vasanne S. Tinsley, Interim Superintendent. Mrs. Allyson Gevertz was not in
attendance.

Also in attendance was Dr. Yolanda Williamson, Executive Director.

ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
Mrs. Turner called for a motion to adopt the December 27, 2022, virtual called meeting agenda.

Being there were no objections, the virtual called meeting agenda was approved.

ACTION ITEMS

a. RFQ 23-01 District-wide Legal Services (Year 1 of 5)

    a. Mrs. Turner called for a motion to approve a contract with Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (“Hall
       Booth”) as General and SPLOST Counsel.

        Mrs. Turner called for a motion to terminate the Board of Education’s engagement with
        Gregory, Doyle, Calhoun & Rogers, LLC (“Gregory Doyle”) as General Counsel and
        SPLOST Counsel.

        On a motion by Mr. Orson, seconded by Mr. Diijon DaCosta, and with a unanimous vote
        of (6/0), the motion passed.

ADJOURN

       Mrs. Turner called for a motion to adjourn the December 27, 2022, virtual called meeting.

       Being there were no objections, the December 27, 2022, virtual called meeting and
       adjourned at 4:11 pm.
